Butterfleye believes in smart solutions to protect you, your home, your business, and your privacy. We develop security platforms that combine activity-based recording, facial recognition, and military-grade technology to decide when to record and when to disarm, placing our products at the optimal intersection of security and privacy.

Our systems enable you to have eyes where you can’t be and an encrypted, secure recording backed up to the cloud at a fraction of the price of other security systems. With advanced battery technology and internal storage, Butterfleye continues to operate through internet and power outages, making it the most reliable security option. Butterfleye believes in smart security solutions that are simple to set up, simple to use, and unobtrusive in our day-to-day lives.

In 2015, our team was inspired by the internet of things and the idea of an intelligent camera savvy enough to detect people, pets, and various sounds, while being robust enough to work when power and internet are not available. After developing an early prototype, Butterfleye was successfully launched with an Indiegogo campaign for $1,000,000 in sales in 2016.

Since then, we've set our path to disrupt the office/enterprise security. We've formed into a small team based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. Butterfleye has been backed by a series of venture and angel funds including, Jason Calacanis, AngelList, Slow Ventures, Iratel Ventures, Brain Robotics Capital, and many more.
